Add Page Numbers

Add "Page 1 of 50" style numbering plus custom header and footer text in a single click.

What it does

Without page numbers, even saying "look at page 12" in a meeting gets awkward. This tool adds numbers in a flexible format such as "Page {n} of {total}", aligned left, centre or right at the top or bottom, in the size and colour you choose.

You can also add a fixed header and footer, such as a company name, document code or "Confidential". Apply it to specific pages only, for example to skip the cover.

How to use it

  1. Drop your PDF file.
  2. Choose the format, position, font size and colour; optionally type header/footer text.
  3. Press "Add and download".

When is it useful?

  • Meeting page numbering rules for a thesis or assignment
  • Giving a merged document continuous page numbers
  • Adding a document code footer to tender and bid files
  • Making reports easy to reference in meetings

Tips

  • Type "2-" in the pages box to skip the cover page.
  • Merge your PDFs first and number afterwards, so numbering runs without gaps.
  • Bottom right at 9 to 10 pt is the most common choice for formal documents.

Frequently asked questions

What do "{n}" and "{toplam}" do?
In the text you type into the Format box, these two placeholders are replaced with the actual page number and the total page count. Example: "Page {n} / {total}" → "Page 3 / 50".
Where is the numbering added?
It is added to the top or bottom margin, using the alignment you choose (left/center/right). Header and footer texts are also added at fixed positions.
Can I skip specific pages?
Yes. Type a range in the "Pages" box to apply numbering to those pages only; leave it empty to add it to every page.
Can numbering start from something other than 1?
You can add fixed text in the format, but {n} always reflects the real page order. For a different start, split the document, number the part, then merge it back.
Will it overwrite existing page numbers?
No, it never deletes existing content; it adds new numbers where you choose. If the document already has numbers, pick a different corner.
