Resize Image

Resize an image by pixels or percentage. The aspect ratio is preserved automatically.

What it does

Government portals, passport photo uploads, school applications and online shops often ask for exact pixel dimensions. This tool resizes an image by pixels or percentage and keeps the aspect ratio by default.

Unlock the ratio to enter exact dimensions. Everything runs in your browser and the result downloads instantly.

How to use it

  1. Drop your image.
  2. Enter the new width/height, or a percentage.
  3. Press "Resize and download".

When is it useful?

  • Meeting the photo size an application system requires
  • Getting images to the right size for social media
  • Making product photos the same width for an online shop
  • Shrinking large photos before emailing them

Tips

  • Enlarging an image beyond its original size makes it blurry; shrink where you can.
  • If file size matters as well as dimensions, pass the result to Compress Image.

Frequently asked questions

Will the aspect ratio be distorted?
The aspect ratio is preserved by default. If you prefer, turn off "Lock aspect ratio" and enter any dimensions you like.
Does upscaling reduce quality?
Yes. Enlarging an image beyond its original size makes it blurry, whereas shrinking it usually costs no quality.
Which format is saved?
PNG inputs are saved as PNG and everything else as JPEG (transparency is preserved).
Can I resize many images to the same size?
This tool works on one image at a time. To collect many images into a PDF, Image → PDF scales them to the page automatically.
